Welcome to our blog please participate as often as you can.
We completed our first week of the Prodigal God series. Now that we have seen the video, had a great discussion, and you have had time to ponder the ideas what are your thoughts now for you, for the class, and for our congregation?

Let me begin my saying that since Mark Schmidt set up our google account, when you post a comment, indicate it's a google account, it will say "Mark says". I don't know how to change that, but it's minor. Thank you, Mark SEXTON, for setting this up. I look forward to reading what people are thinking, feeling, and learning as together we explore the parable and its lessons for us. I want to say how appreciative I am that Timothy Keller wrote this book. I began reading and had no idea what it would stir in me. I spent Sunday afternoon holed up in my bedroom alone to read the remainder of the book. I can't wait for our class discussions and the small group discussions I'll be in on Thursday nights. Jody.
ReplyDeletesorry this is a test
ReplyDeleteI had some trouble posting a comment. Here is what worked:
ReplyDeleteAfter I typed my comment, I did 'select profile' and chose name/URL.
For name, I wrote the our email address until the @.
For URL I wrote our server, live.com
That seemed to work!
My real comment!
ReplyDeleteThis book is so insightful about this one parable. Now I think there is must be so much more depth to many sections of the gospel.
Thanks for the posting instructions, Linda....I'm sure that will be helpful for everyone (myself included.)
ReplyDeleteAnd doesn't it amaze you that those who listened to Jesus understood His message in this parable? I require lots of help in catching it all. That's why I loved this book and can't wait to discuss it in a small group. Jody
